Welcome to this new site as we prepare to offer affordable cremation service in San Carlos City and Calamba City.   Cremation is on the uptick at around 50% at USA and MM because:

     3.  Saves land
     4.  Convenient

In the  US according to a friend whose daughter was murdered by a drug addict said, it is no longer a question of burial or interment, but how the ashes shall be be apportioned among the  children, parents and in laws.  

In the Philippines, cremation is the answer to the expensive way of dying.  A regular plot, funeral service and interment service will set you back by almost a P100,000.  A body crypt, (apartment type) in municipal and Catholic cemetery will be setting back the family by P50,000.  Thus it is 80% cheaper compared to a memorial park interment, and 60% cheaper compared to apartment type of interment.

It is the prediction of this author that:

1.  There will be a shortage of plots because of escalating cost of land, escalating cost of regulations and representation to get a memorial park approval.  It is estimated by this author that memorial park development vs death rate is outstripped 10 is to 1.  With the shortage comes higher price of memorial park plots.   In 3 of the 7 memorial park projects we have our intventories  are only 20%

2,  The situation is as bad for LGUs.  They do not have the land nor the capacity to purchase raw land
for cemeteries.

Bone cremation of exhumed  bodies will free more apartments for those who are in need
